I hadn't really though about what Gwen was doing like that - although a thing happening in a fic and then getting something similar in the series has happened quiet a few times now. Owen's not so good relationship with his mother, a protective time lock on the Hub, Jack having to deal with maybe not being immortal. I think there were a few more too.
