Feel free to call me a numpty - or how to fail at searching for a fic.

A few weeks a go I posted on the Torchwood fic finders site looking for a fic.

Jack, Ianto and Owen are stuck in the past or maybe an alien world that's like the UK's early Middle Ages. They wander through a marsh being lost for a day or two, and Jack is hurt - he's not healing so maybe his immortality not working. They eventually find this wooden village built on a wooden platform at the edge of the marsh where it becomes a lake.

I could remember the village part really clearly, exactly how it was described. The wooden houses. Ianto standing by the railing that run round the edge of the village platform so people don't accidentally fall into the lake or marsh. It being evening going into night, and there being fireflies in the air.

Only I couldn't remember any more of it than that.

Why could nobody find this fic? Why could I only remember one scene from it? Why couldn't I remember how it ended?

Because it turns out it is one of my own unfinished and unposted fics (along with at least 30 or so others - and that's only counting the Torchwood ones.). Like I said feel free to call me a numpty.
