Writing and real life stuff

Going to attempt to write this evening as an escape from things, but head & heart not really in it at the moment. Just heard that my uncle who only just survived a major stroke late last year now has covid pneumonia & is on oxygen in hospital. Pretty much all the family health stuff is all pretty bad at the moment. There's only really me and my son who are okay. My mum is losing her sight, my other uncle - who’ll be 83 in a couple of weeks needs cataract surgery, my brother - already a kidney transplant patient now has diabetes from the anti-rejection/immunosuppression medications he’s on and they are finding it are to control it, and my husband is currently waiting for a rheumatologist referral to confirm whether it’s psoriatic arthritis why he’s finding it difficult to walk without pain in his ankles. With everything else going on the world right now and being the only wage earner at home everything just seems so hard at the moment. There is nothing that I can do to help any of it. All I can do it carry and on be there as much as I can (which is only on the phone for most of the family as I live at the opposite end of the country from the rest of them), and accept that it is out of my control. What will happen will happen. So to writing, either the Songxiao big bang fic or maybe try something for the prompt comm - this weekend’s theme is candlelight.
