The year in review meme.

Okay this is supposed to be the first paragraph of each journal entry of each month, which in my case means that a lot of them are fic rather than real life, which I what think this meme was kind of aim at. But I think I can do the meme how I want so here goes.

January 6th 2008

Okay so I started the year with fic J

Closer. Jack/Ianto. PG. http://the-silver-sun.livejournal.com/27029.html#cutid1

Ianto wonders how the rest of the team can be so blind. How it is that they can't see the changes in Jack since his return. Perhaps it is because they are so relieved that he is back that they don't notice how his smiles never reach his eyes anymore and his laughter is hollow. Perhaps it is because they want everything to be back to how it was that they choose not to see just how much he has changed.

February 16th.

It’s still fic.

Mind Games. Jack. NC17 http://the-silver-sun.livejournal.com/27719.html#cutid1

From the moment Jack realises that Saxon, he refuses even mentally to refer to him as the Master, can see into his mind, can knock down his mental defences as if they are made of paper, he knows that he’s in serious trouble.

March 7th

Music Like Memories. Jack/Ianto. PG  http://the-silver-sun.livejournal.com/28578.html#cutid1

“What’s wrong?” Ianto asks softly, his hand stroking down Jack’s back as they move slowly in time to the music. “You feel like you’re a million miles away.”

April 4th

The first month of 2008 that I didn’t start with fic.

Three weeks since my last update, o_O  I mean to write more frequently, but somehow I never seem too.

Anyhow it's been a busy few weeks, with work, fic challenge writing deadlines, reenactment events and the roleplay nationals down in Sheffield.
So I've got my first (and still somewhat incomplete) draft for

[Unknown site tag]tardis_bigbang sent in, and currently starting to panic a bit about getting the whole thing written up by the end of the month. I not convinced that i'm going to get the thing done on time - but i've got a couple of days off coming to me, so hopefully it will happen.

May 6th

And it’s back to fic.

Writer in a drawer entry. Best of Intentions. PC Andy. PG http://the-silver-sun.livejournal.com/31568.html#cutid1

Andy switches off his mobile with a sigh, and slouches back on the sofa. It’s been a rough few days, and he’s no nearer finding out what the hell Gwen, or more likely Torchwood, have said to Nikki Bevan. All he knows is, that whatever was said, it’s made a bad situation worse.

June 1st

Well I made it much further than I thought I would in Writerinadrawer, but this week I was the person with the most negative vote or rather the person with the second lowest number of votes because the person with the actual lowest vote had played their immunity card, I guess that's just the way it goes.

July 31st

Can't believe that it's been five weeks since I last posted anything. I just can't seem to get inspired to do anything much, whether it's writing, real life stuff or whatever I just don't seem to care lately.

August 14th

Unusual food meme.

1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Optional extra: Post a comment at <http://www.verygoodtaste.co.uk/uncategorised/the-omnivores-hundred/> linking to your results. (They also have Wikipedia links to some of the obscure ones.)

September 5th

Why is there no Spooks: Code 9 fic to be found?  Not on LJ or on FF.net. I just don't get it.

I suppose it might be because it's only showing on BBC3.

It has a cute geeky guy (
Charlie), a doctor (Rob) who's so like Owen (TW just won't be the same without him) that I have a hard job not thinking it's him. It also has Georgia Moffett in it (I like her much better in this than in DW)

October 5th

And it’s back to fic.

Sacrifice. Ianto/tentacled alien. Nc17 – dub-con/non-con. Written for rounds of kink.   http://the-silver-sun.livejournal.com/42044.html#cutid1

Ianto is in the basement archives when the lighting suddenly fails, switching from the harsh brightness of the fluorescent strip lights to the dim red glow of the emergency backup system.

November 2nd

Moonlight and Memories. Jack/Ianto. R, Written for rounds of kink. http://the-silver-sun.livejournal.com/43515.html#cutid1

In the bed behind him Ianto slumbers, as Jack stands at the casement window, looking out at the moonlit Welsh countryside beyond.

Once, Jack knows, a moon like this, full and bright lighting up the autumnal sky, would have been called a bombers moon. Before the war, before air raids had become part of anyone vocabulary it had been a harvest moon, and perhaps now that that war at least is long passed people call it a harvest moon once more. For Jack though it's still a bombers moon, and maybe it always will be.

December 3rd

Today has been so much rubbish. I've spent all day coughing and my knees hurt, and my head hurts and the paracetamol doesn't seem to work properly.

Stupid work is being stupid. We had to rearrange all the in coming document processes which should have gone to SC4 and share them between the other 4 teams because there is nobody currently in SC4.  Where have SC4 gone? there are supposed to be 14 people in SC4. Today it was totally empty and nobody seems to know where they are or when they'll be back.
