As some of you know I'm running the Classic Torchwood big bang comm ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
tw_classic_bb which will start posting on the 14th of Feb next year - or about 7 weeks from now.
I am also writing a big bang for it, and have decided to try to get it done ahead of time as I'll be busy running the comm, sorting out artists, posting dates etc as it gets nearer to the to the go live date.
I've got about 7k of the fic typed up, with at least another 1k in note books and all the rest planned out.
Title: Time Enough, and Life.
Pairings/Characters: Jack/Ianto, team. Past Ianto/Lisa.
Rating: nc17
Predicted word count: 16k give or take 1k or so. (Although last time I though a fic would be this length it turned out to be 21k - all I can say is it wont' be less than 15k which is the big bang minimum.)
Contains: fairly graphic sex scene, temporary character death,
Premise: The Electro Cinema closed in 1977 according to the guide book Jack find when he's writing up the Night Travellers report, so how had Ianto gone there as a child?
Jack confronts him about this and finds out that Ianto actually started working for Torchwood in 1973 when he was 25 - when he was a test subject for some cryogenic units they were testing.
He was unthawed in 1999, to find that the project had been shelved due to costs, he has slowly come to realise that in the intervening nine years he hasn't aged.
Now they need to find out what the project really was and what happened, and what it means for Ianto's future, and for them.
As usual this will be close third person with it from Jack's POV and in present tense.
So anybody interested in betaing this?
