H/C bingo crossover's April crossover challenge - idea
So, I've got my prompts for the ![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
hc_bingo April challenge. Bites, falling, locked in a box, bruises.
Now to decide what to write.
No ideas are coming to me to crossover with MDZS at all. I've written in about a dozen different fandoms at this point, but still no ideas are jumping out at me for combining any two I've already written for.
So branching out.
Current idea is 9th Doctor, Rose and Jack end up meeting Wu Xie, Wang Pangzi and Zhang Qiling - an object in a tomb has an alien origin.
I've written the 9th Doctor a couple of times before and Rose, and well anyone whose been here since Torchwood was my main fandom knows how much I've written Jack.
While I've read the books (there are official translation of the first 5 books that can be bought as ebooks) watched explore with note and both series of the Lost Tomb reboot - plus reading fic, I've not written Wu Xie, Wang Pangzi and Zhang Qiling before.
With whole time travel and TARDIS translating languages having them meet it's an issue. TARDIS era Jack flirting with Zhang Qiling - because honestly ZQL will likely end up without his shirt on at somepoint so people can see his heat activated tattoo - it will happen for purely plot related reasons as it does in the show. ZQL not noticing the flirting at all.
The 9th Doctor being amused/exaperated with Jack being Jack, and over Jack likely the fact that Pangzi has brought dynamite with him.
It is a hurt/comfort prompt set - and it doesn't have missing memories on it (Now there's something Jack and Zhang Qiling have in common - well that, being far older than they look (although for the point in Jack's timeline this is occuring Jack's whole not dying thing isn't a thing yet) and a general disregard for their own safely when protecting those they care about.)
All four prompts could be used separately, but they can be combined into one fic. Falling and bruises go together very easily in a single fic.
Shibie (corpse beetle) take care of the biting aspect. And for locked in a box, well there is trapped in a coffin as an option - and yes, I'd inflict this on Wu Xie - full of dust and running out of air - coughing, not able to get enough air in - that's going to bring back some very bad memories post Lost Tomb!Wu Xie.)
Jack get the biting and burrowing into your skin beetles - he will still turn it into some kind of sex joke about normally likely things being in him - this is Captain Jack Harkness after all.
Falling and bruises will probaby end up being Zhang Qiling - It give him plot related chance to lose his shirt. The qilin tattoo showing up, but in places less distinct where bruising is worst. He'd be trying so hard not to let it slow him down as he'd be trying to protect them all.
Timeline wise I'm thinking round about the time of Boomtown for Nine, Jack and Rose. For the Iron Triangle it would be post Lost Tomb reboot.
Honestly i'm just sort of brain storming it here.
POV is the biggest problem. I usually write from a single pov per story - or in a long fic have two pov character who get alternating chapters.
For this? I don't know. Maybe a different pov per prompt? but it's still all the same story. It worked for 'Finding Ways to Smile Again' But that was a much longer fic (6k) than I have time for with this one. I've got 4 weeks for this. Decisons to make.
