Hope you like it and thank you for commenting. I was beginning to think that nobody was interested in this story. Although I suppose given how quiet the fandom is getting to expect a comment in the first day after posting might be a bit much.

I kept meaning to ask - where is this picture of Jack from? The third one you used at the top? I somehow does not recognize it.
And I started reading the day you posted, but then it was late and I needed to go to bed - and the next day I found another wonderful story which sucked me totally in (and then I had trouble finding yours again). Have you seen this one? It's really great:

I didn't make the artwork, it was made by Star54kar. But the image is from Ghost Machine shortly before Owen see the woman get attacked back in the 60's. (And I didn't know that by sight - google's give me an image and I'll find you one like it is a very useful function.)

I've not read the one you've linked to you, although I did see it posted. Problem is most days I'm so short on time that I have to chose between reading fic and writing it - and 9 times out of 10 writing ends up winning.

Thank you very much! I didn't even think of google, even though I recently used this feature to find something. It's marvellous but also a bit scary ;) I think I have to watch Ghost machine now, to see if I can spot it.

I think for this fic you should make an exception. I don't often recommend fics, but this one blew me away indeed. You will not regret it. The chapters aren't THAT long either, so one per day should be managable. Whether you want to stop then, is an entirely different matter, though...
