A/N written for tw100 prompt ‘power’
The toast has burnt, but the kettle hasn’t had time to boil when the power goes off.
“Great, just bloody great,” Owen grumbles as he wanders over to the window.
Looking out, he can see dozens of people milling about below. Some stand by cars that have stopped in the middle of the road, while others check their phones, baffled expressions on their faces.
Other than their voices, and the occasional squawk of a seagull, Cardiff is silent, or it is until the very loud and very purple lightening starts.
Owen sighs. It’s going to be one of those days.
