I've just sent in my [livejournal.com profile] tardis_bigbang entry, at just over 30k it's the longest thing I've written. Honestly I'm amazed that I managed to get it done on time, especially as the last few days have been more than a little mad with super short staffed work and doing a reenactment event this weekend. I think I've had about 14 hours sleep since thurday, and my brain is now dead.

A big thank to [livejournal.com profile] santousha  and [livejournal.com profile] dvanulya  for being great and speedy betas. I don't think I've have ever got it finished without you.

The tardis-bigbang website with the fics and the art work to accompany them should be going live at the end of the month.

Still writing up/editing the last bits of my bigbang fic, which is just as well as the deadline is next sunday. 21.5k already finished and beta'd, 6.5k or so to go. Sending 3k of that out tonight and the rest hopefully on tuesday. 27k of fic, I can't quite believe that I've written so much, and that there is so many more scenes that could have been added but were nescesary to the plot (about another 5-10k if I'm honest). I will probably end up writing and posting these seperate little interlude stories after Tardis-bigbang goes live.

Won't have much time next weekend to spend on it as I'll be at a medieval event - a local one fortunately so I get to go home each evening.

I have also just realised that today is the 7th, which means that baby is due 13 weeks today, where has time gone?

Fic update

On to the home stretch with the Tardis-bigbang fic, 18k nearly 19k finished and checked, 6-7k to go.

I've started on a couple of my fics for kink-bingo as well, just a few hundred words so far for 'Gun Play' and for the writer's choice kink, both are Jack/Ianto. (I'm probably going to end up do the writers choice square a couple of times, it depends if I can work tentacles into the aphrodisiac fic or not)

I've also got what's going to be in the 'Fucking Machine', 'Breath Play' and 'Public Sex' fics planned out in rough.

Now to go and write/edit more of the bigbang fic, as I want to get another 2.5k sent of to beta tonight.

I've not been on the net much these last couple of weeks, pretty much work being hectic and me falling asleep as soon as I've eaten tea each night.

However the last couple of nights I seem to have been more awake and have actually got on with starting to write up my [livejournal.com profile] tardis_bigbang  fic. I've got so many scribbled notes (tend to write on the bus too and from work or else I'd never get any of it done) that I think that I should make the 15000 words by the 26th of April. I've got about 4000 typed up at the moment and load more still to do, and it is all plotted out.
The only thing is that next  weekend is the last free weekend that I have before the dead line. As Easter weekend I'll be at a reenactment event at Warwick castle and the following weekend I'll be in Manchester for the Roleplay National.  April is looking like being a busy month as in addition to the events I've also got two antenatal scans, one midwifes appointment, a friends leaving do, and one day training course at work to do, and that's not counting any other stuff that might crop up.

With the bigbang fic I will need to find a beta for it, as that's part of the challenge rules, so once I've got past that first deadline I'll be looking for a beta for a Ianto/PC Andy fic which is sort of AU (mainly it sets up an AU situation after the fic) and set in the year that never was. It will probably be about R rated for not particually graphic sex.  The fic will be at least 20000 words.

I'm now off to meet up with the reenactment society to finalise the meal plans for the Warwick castle event, help Andy finish his doublet, do some kit maintainence for my own stuff and then meet up with the rpg soc.

I've now got a rough outline planned of what I'm writing for my [livejournal.com profile] tardis_bigbang  fic, with the what's going to happen when kind of things planned out.  Still waiting for my invite to join the comm, but with 157 people signed up it's probably going to take a while. I 've got about 1500 words written so far, with about the same amount again in notes. It's going to be interesting writing something so long that is basicaly from PC Andy's perspective, as I've only really written him for a single short fic before.

In other stuff I have my first ultrasound scan tomorrow afternoon, and Fin's is going to come with me to the hospital. I'm think that the scan is going to be okay, mainly because I haven't really had any problems so far, but there is still always that bit of my mind that says 'this is going too well'
Anyway by 4pm tomorrow I should know if baby is developing normally - then all I have to to is wait for the next scan at which should be mid May when I can worry about what it will show again.

Okay, so I've signed up for the TARDIS Big Bang challenge again, 20,000+ words of fic ready and beta'd by the end of May. Hopefully I'll manage to get it done this time (one day I may even finish the one that I was writing for the last big bang).

Without giving away too much of what it will be about its an AU for the The Year That Never Was following Ianto and PC Andy. I've had the idea for quite a while now and hopefully this will actually get me to write it.

Three weeks since my last update, o_O  I mean to write more frequently, but somehow I never seem too.

Anyhow it's been a busy few weeks, with work, fic challenge writing deadlines, reenactment events and the roleplay nationals down in Sheffield.
So I've got my first (and still somewhat incomplete) draft for

[community profile] tardis_bigbang sent in, and currently starting to panic a bit about getting the whole thing written up by the end of the month. I not convinced that i'm going to get the thing done on time - but i've got a couple of days off coming to me, so hopefully it will happen.

Despite this, I have (possibly rather stupidly) signed up for the second round of[profile] writerinadrawerlthough whether I survive the first round is another matter, as i'm less than happy with what I wrote, the problem being that i'm in the group with the prompts girl's night in, set in the Hub, using only female characters and less than 250 words.

Only an hour and a half now to the finale of Torchwood series 2, and it's a bit weird though, I can't wait to see it, to see what happens, but once it's over there's going to be the long wait for series, hopefully is won't be as long a wait as between series 1 and 2 though, and there is Doctor Who starting again tomorrow night.

Off to check[profile] writerinadrawer now as the stories will be posted up soon, and first round voting will begin. It's all annonymous and anybody can vote, so if any of you want to read fifty or so very short Torchwood fics, that's the place to be.
