Trying to download episode 8 of torchwood as my video decided on sunday that it would no longer function - wouldn't have minded so much had I been in so that I could have watched it, but no it waits until I've gone out to go on the fritz.
Download started off fast and I thought that I would be able to watch it this evening, now it's like only 2kb and says it might be finished 'til like midnight tomorrow - what do I pay for broadband for if its not for a decent connection speed?
Technology seems to have decided to hate me this weekend in general though, as I found out when I spend about four hours on Sunday trying to fit in a radio in to my car. Shouldn't be that difficult - was I wrong. Well not exactly - I took out the old cassette player, replaced it with a CD radio and nothing. For some unknown reason the power cable to the radio now has no current in it, I know it did before as the cassette radio worked.
It's starting to bug me now as I've spent another hour or two today squashed in the passenger foot well of the car taking the fuse box to bits - and all that i've discovered is that there isn't a problem with the fuse box or the power connection to it - so I'm 100% no nearer to fixing the problem.

What a wonderful way to spend my week off work - I didn't really even want this week - I would have liked to have time of at Christmas - but no for the third year running I'm stuck in the office for the days between christmas and newyears - it sucks. Had to take some time off though - had to spend the remained of last years holiday, as I couldn't carry it over for a second year.
No I'm not somebody who finds there work facinating or likes spending time there - it's that the place seem to slowly self destruct ever time that I'm away for more than a few days. Nice to know I'm needed I suppose.
Well at least with the car I can get away for the days that I do get off, although trying to drive in holiday traffic to and from Scotland going to be a pain if I cannot get my radio working - it's four hours even if the roads are clear - I really don't want to think about how long its going to take.

Suppose I have rambled on for long enough and should get back to doing something vaguely contructive - well maybe.
