I know Holby City is is more than a bit a sh!te and that there are probably a thousand different, and more productive things that I could be doing but it has Peter Wingfield in it so I have to watch.
I don't know if it 's his acting style but he still seems to be Methos whatever he is in - tonight Holby City episode was no different - he even told somebody to leave to fight another day, advocating just packing up your things, telling nobody, because that complicate things, and leaving.
When the person he gives this advice to says he strange, he smiles and says something along the lines of you have no idea.
I am beginning to think that his Holby City character, Dr Clifford is just one the Methos' many alias'.

In other random things today, I have spent a good part of the evening sewing together some really bright green fabric (it's lunimous lime green)  for F, so that him and P and can use it as a green screen for a rpg webcast they are hoping to start.
Sewing machine was a bit tempremental at first, mainly because it doesn't like modern  cotton reals, guess that's what I get for using a 94 year old sewing machine. That said hand turned singer sewing machines are virtually indestructible and you can almost gaurantee that they wont ever go majorly wrong, plus i've never used a modern electric one and probably wouldn't know where to start with it.

Still looking at the gown patterns in the medieval costuming book, I know which one I want for events. (I'll scan a pic on if anybody wants to see) I know what colours I want it, dark sage green lined with grey. Only problem is getting the material for it, not least that there are only about three people I can get it form, but because after working it out i've realised that i'll need about 4m of wool and 4m of linen, plus thread, plus an embroidered inset panel for the V front and wide woven belt. The wool, linen and thread look like being about £80, the panel and belt i'm not too sure of the costs of, but look like being an additional £40-£50.
I really cannot justify spending that kind of money on something that i'll only wear three/four times a year, not when I need new wind screen wipers for the car, but I can dream.
