Feb. 8th, 2007 08:25 pmLaptop internet connection finally functioning again. I should know better than to try to connect it up at my mums, it always plays up afterwards, but I really didn't want to have a week without internet, as a result I got a week and half without internet as it decided that it's drivers no longer existed, like I said should have known better.
Installed freeview boxes for my mum and nan, and had my car turned into the family taxi for a week. I was nice to go and see them though, it's a shame it takes six hours to get there or i'd probably go more often than twice a year.
No thats a bad excuse, a better one is my mums cats, and the fact that i'm allegic to them, having to get medication so I can go home is too weird, plus it takes about a week for my lungs to get back to normal - asthma and pet allegies, not a good conbination.
One good thing of playing around with the laptop while it was minus it internet connection was that I found the VLC media player that I use to watch films/tv has a screen capture function, so much playing with that ensued.
