Back from my first scan

So this is my 12 week scan Baby's head is on the left, and is measuring 37mm so they say I'm 10+5 (I'd thought I was 11+2) but the margin of error on the size chart says 37mm could be 10 weeks or could be nearly 12. Any way he/she is should be a September baby either 7th or 12th.

Was a little disappointed that the scan didn't have any sound on it, so couldn't hear the heart beat, but me and Fin did get to see it beating and baby do a couple of back flips so he/she seemed pretty active. Being as I've had pretty much nothing in the way of symptoms it's nice to know everything is going okay.  Fin says it looks like an alien (of the Alien film variety)  because of the face. He' sreally please though and emailed a copy of the pic to his mum and dad as soon as we got in from the hospital.

The round golfball looking thing is a fibroid (which is news to me) but at 35mm it is apparently a fairly small one and isn't in a location where it likely to be too much of a problem. Got given the date for my 20 week scan as well - 24th April. MW appointment tomorrow, so hoping that goes ok too.
