May. 7th, 2009 02:43 pmI've finally (after an hour or so) managed to get the smooth sailing stylesheet loaded up as my custom layer. Now all I need to do is find out how to sort out putting in the custom css theme layer and hopefully I'll have the journal looking how I want it to.
Then I can start playing about with the coding for the custom layer.
If anybody is interested in how I did it this is how.
Go to select journal style (where you can normally choose from the 3 basic themes and select developers area.
Then once in the developers area select Advanced options - your layers
create top level layer. selecting layout and version 1. click create
Now above where you did this on the same page, under the heading you layers it will say
with the option next to it to edit the layer.
click edit.
In the html editor that it opens delete the second line of text and then paste the code found here http://silver-sun.dreamwidth.org/2005/05/07/
click the compile/save button at the top of the window.
this will make your custom layer.
go back to select journal style and select your custom layers, your new layout will now be selectable.
