Interesting rewrite... I like what you did with having Jack detect something in the glove, and force it out before trying to bring Ianto back. It provides a reason for the different results.
I knew before reading the A/N that you were probably going to leave it hanging, and I agree that it's a good spot to end it. But... if you ever feel inclined to revisit it, there's at least one person out here that would enjoy reading it.
