I remember reading those spoilers a few weeks ago, but having rewatched the DW trailer again I don't think that the spoiler stuff matches what we see.
Thought belows are why the sci-fi spoilers don't seem to match.
The DW trailer shows Jack running towards the fountain and therefore the Millenium centre, with the bay behind him.
Now given the fact that Jack didn't leave the hub via the tourist office because Owen, Tosh and Ianto would have seen him as they came back in and if he had used the lift he would have already been in front of the fountain and not running towards it.
He also seems to be jumping down on something, which would suggest, unless it's shrunk, it's not the TARDIS.
Also in the trailer Jack has a backpack, which he doesn't have in the last shots of TW. So it doesn't seem to be directly after the last scene of TW series 1.
The fact that Gwen also heard the TARDIS noise inside the Hub, plus the fact that it seemed to have blown papers from desks doesn't seem to point to the fact that the TARDIS was outside infront of the fountain.
It might be the source of these spoilers saw some filming and decided from that what was happening, getting wrong in the process.

I'm hoping that in general the sci-fi pulse spoilers are wrong. Also I don't think after last nights DW episode the Doctor will as unconcerned about Jacks immortality as the sci-fi pulse spoilers seemed to suggest, not given what the Doctor says to Dr Lazerus.

Yes I pay far to much attention to these things.

I will be one happy camper (no pun intended) if the details of the spoilers are false. Woe to my self-control for reading them in the first place, haha.

Being cynical and debating the issue further, however--because it's fun to discuss these things--if the TARDIS does rematerialize in front of the fountain where it was last, it would be on top of the lift, and hence impossible for Jack to get to it unless he lowers the lift, so it may be that the writers had him approach a different way. This is especially true if they're avoiding a Torchwood/Who cross-over as much as possible and therefore not showing the Hub.

Also, if the TARDIS is dematerializing by the time he gets to it, a flying leap to get a hold on it is not inconceivable for dramatic effect, though it is fairly cheesy. I'm pretty sure that he's not jumping on something so much as jumping toward something...

THE BACKPACK! OH, I LOVE THE BACKPACK...
...great, now I'm sounding like Ten. Wouldn't it be beyond cute if Jack had a backpack hidden in the Hub precisely so he could grab it when he needed to?? It'd make him more forward-thinking than Martha anyway (silly Martha, didn't even grab a towel before leaving).

In any case, your arguments make sense, assuming the intra-show continuity holds. My only worry is that since the Saxon plotline would be in London, I can't think of a reason for the Doctor to be in Cardiff except when picking up and dropping off Jack, therefore limiting the options for those scenes (and especially given that people most likely saw the dropping-off scene being filmed). Thankfully, though, I'll be fine with however it turns out because there could be a two-parter about them watching grass grow and I'd still be happy so long as Jack was in it.

Hmm... I don't know about the issue of Jack's immortality, though. They seem like two very different things (unless you're talking more about Jack's sanity and the "You'll end up alone" statement, which would generate empathy but not necessarily help toward a solution), more like the Doctor's regenerations and less like playing God, especially since the effect can't be duplicated. Since the Doctor knows about Rose-Bad-Wolf, and Jack knows he died, it shouldn't be hard for them to put two-and-two together. I personally think Jack's development in Who will more be coming to grasps with his immortality (or learning there's a limit to the time vortex energy, like the Doctor's regenerations) rather than him actually LOSING his immortality, because... well, first off, how would you test it?? And second, if Jack's immortal he can revisit the Doctor again and again and again!!! OK, so that wasn't really a rational argument, but still... it makes sense to me, ha.

And now... I really should stop rambling.

I agree with you. Love all the speculation and I too hope that the spoilers aren't true.

*off to watch the trailer again*
