It's just been one of those days

silver_sunIt's just been one of those days today, got woken up at 6 by the sound of peoples house alarms because there was a power cut.
Said power cut continued unitl this afternoon, when it returned and did something weird to my cooker.
The electric lighter button for the gas hobs seems to be stuck on on, so i've had to turn the electric to the cooker off, so now I am without an oven.
The day started to look better as my car door arrived and S came over to help me fit it. Four hours later we still haven't managed to detatch the old door from the car. The instructions says it a simple job, just hammer out the retaining pins - this however has proven to be, so far, nigh on impossible.
Car repair has now been persponed until Saturday, when we might drill out the pins and get some new ones, where from I haven't got a clue but hopefully this internet will provide. After all its the internet fault that I have this car and this stupid door in the first place.
Well ok it's my fault for buying them, but still.
The one really good thing thought was that the email I sent to the BBC asking when series 2 of Torchwood would be on was replied to, they say late this year. Have posted a copy of the email they sent me on![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)

Really need to start working on the half dozen or so incomplete TW fic's sitting on my hard drive, but finding time to do any writing just doesn't seem to be happening lately.
Off to meet up with the rest of the medieval soc now to discuss how the Barley Hall event at the weekend went.
