Thank you for reading. I'm glad that the outside POV worked, it's the first time that I've written a fic from that perspective.
I almost have the opposite thing when I thinking/writing about something which has a connection to the past - I struggle to think of it being so long ago, or that there might not that many people that remember it. I think it's because I have family members who were around during the second world war, and in my nan's case the first world war, although she was still very young when it ended.
