Summary: On a distant planet, Jack struggles to come to terms with everything that has happened, however his world is about to change again when Ianto Jones, from a parallel Earth, arrives seeking his help.

The bar is dark, the dim orange glow of decrepit sodium lights on the walls doing little to alleviate the gloom. Alcohol, tobacco and exotic spices war with stale sweat in the humid air, while the chatter of a dozen different alien races is frequently interrupted by the roar of ships taking off from the nearby spaceport.

Okay I know this isn't part 6 of Past Imperfect (which is still being work on), but looking through the stuff I've got on an old memory stick I found this, which I finished sometime last summer. So here it is.


Title: In Darkness
Rating: pg13
Characters/Pairings: Jack/Ianto, mentions of Gwen/Rhys.
Word count: 3723
Warnings: Post series 2. Brief non graphic mention of past torture.
Summary: Sometimes even Jack needs rescuing. Until then he's just got his own thoughts for company, and they aren't pleasant ones.

( Jack isn't sure how much time has passed since he woke in chains, apart from the fact that even a single second is far too long. He knows that is was woken rather than revived, as in his unfortunately extensive experience, nobody ever bothered to restrain a corpse. )

Warnings: Non-graphic memories of torture/interrogation.
Summary: Waking up injured and with no memory of the past few days is only the start of Jack's problems as part of his forgotten past comes back to haunt him.
A/N: Set during in series two after Meat but before Adam. Apologies for the delay in getting this posted, RL stuff happening big time. I've not abandoned this fic, and I hope to post the last part in the next couple of weeks. I'm not entirely happy with all of this part, but I'm not sure what else could be done with it. I'm not posting this bit to comms, I'll wait until the last part is ready then post links to the completed fic.

Summary: As Torchwood rebuilds following the events of CoE the government is still keeping secrets and it's up to Ianto to reveal the truth.
