Here's the trailer for the Sherlock Holmes film that Gareth David Lloyd is in. (He plays Watson, it also has Dominic Keating, Reed in Enterprise in it.)

The film is available from the 26th.

I really, really hope it'll be available as a region 2 DVD some day

I'm region 2 as well. There are ways around it, so you can play other regions. Some are not strictly legal, like the hacks unlocking the regions on a DVD player, and some are like buying a multi-region DVD player. (I picked up a second hand Toshiba multi region on ebay.)

I don't get why there's this whole region thing anyway, it doesn't seem to benefit anybody.

I don't have a TV/DVDplayer, I watch it on my computer and this new one confuses me a bit, it has a built in player which can play all regions, but I can only switch 3 times :-/ and I can't figure out how to disable it, only delete it, so I think for the time being I'll stick with my regular region 2 DVDs ;-)

It's only out on region 1 dvd at the moment, although it will eventually be out on region 2. It will be distributed by Revolver Entertainment, in the UK. I don't know when that will be though, I've emailed, and am waiting for a reply.

That said, it's easy enough to play region 1 here, either with unlocked or multi-region dvd players/drives.
