February is nearly over and I'll be glad to see the back of it as it has been a month that I never want a repeat of as it's been one long round of bad news and problems.

Brother got swine flu and spent 10 days in hospital and it might have damaged the kidney transplant he had 11 yeards ago. They are trying him on different medication.

My mum is in the middle of a Lupus flare up and has refused to wear the hearing aid she's been given so phone calls - the only way I've got of contacting her apart from writing as she lives at the other end of the country - are getting to be problematic.

My uncle who has always been the fit one of the family seems to have rapidly developed really bad arthritis and is using a walking frame.

It looks like my little boy has a cows milk intolerance that gives him really dry red skin - admittedly after 4 days of soy milk he's looking a lot better, so that's good news to end the month.

Combined with having a really rotten cold that took the best part of 2 weeks to go away, the bad weather meaning even more of the garden fence has fallen down and I still can't afford to fix it, and the whole council job cuts situation hanging over me it's been a rotten month. (thankfully I've now been told nobody is going in our department)

Hopefully March will be a much better month.

I'm actually getting a bit of fic writing done now for the first time a few weeks, and I get back to being a mod of [livejournal.com profile] tw_classic and post March's fic prompt tomorrow.
