silver_sun15 – Warnings – What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?
There are only a few things that I would list in warnings, things like non-con, dub-con, self-harm, suicide, torture, very graphic violence, and major character death. If any of these would spoil the fic then I’d use the highlight to read option, and then people can choose whether to read the warnings or not.
Anything else that readers might want a heads up for will go under ‘contains.’ This will have things like BDSM/kink (which would mention which kink, because I think readers would like to know whether they are going to be reading about some light spanking and dirty talk or if it’s going to be a really rough, simulated non-con scene), serious illness or injury, minor character death, Mpreg, cheating on partner (which is canon for a couple of fandoms I’m in),
