Title: A Whole New World
Characters: Ianto
Rating: G
Contains: planet wide destruction, post apocalytic world (cause not stated - but not manmade)
Summary: Ianto looks out at the world.
A/N: Okay this is the start of a drabble fic series using
tw100 latest set of prompts - they are MD titles, however I am not using them in that context, as this is roughly early series 2 time scale - but obviously veering off into an apocalyptic AU future.
The world had ended on a wet Tuesday morning in October at a little after ten am.
Although perhaps ended, Ianto thinks, as he looks out at the roiling orange sky from the relative safety of the tourist office, is the wrong word.
It had changed though. Time had shifted, fire had rained from the sky and strange, vicious creatures roamed the streets.
Turning away from the devastation, Ianto leaves to rejoin the rest of the team in the Hub below.
It may be a new world out there, but they’re still Torchwood, and they have a job to do.

Date: 2011-12-16 09:13 pm (UTC)Whether it will spread out beyond these ten drabbles I don't know - maybe. I've go so many fics that are being written, need to be written, or have been languishing half written in notebooks or on the laptop it getting slightly ridiculous - there are fics that I've written 6 or 7k for and which aren't finished and or posted yet and have been like that for three or four years.
