Title: A Light in the Darkness

It's the dead of night as they cross the Plas. Guns drawn, their eyes darting and wary for what might be hiding in the shadows.

The temporal storm has ended, giving them a scant few hours to gather supplies and inspect the damage.

“This way,” Tosh says, hushed and urgent, checking a tracking device. “There’s another energy signature.”

They find it just off the Plas. A large, jagged shard of metal, its faintly glowing surface etched with glyphs.

“It’s still functional,” Tosh says taking another reading.

Opening a containment bag, Jack smiles grimly. “Time to find out what’s going on.”

A stroke of luck! Hopefully genius Tosh can start to figure things out now she has something to work with. It seems Torchwood are Cardiff's only hope (or possibly the world's, how much of the earth is being affected?)
