Yet another post to say yes I'm still typing away. The word count as just passed the 11k mark now so I'm on track for 50k by the end of the month. The story I don't think has a chance of being finished in 50k though as 11k is probably no more than 10-15% into the story. So probably looking like it'll need 75k - making it twice as long as anything I've ever written before.
"I know a lie when I hear one, it doesn’t matter what damn language it's in. And I can ask Cade what you really said."
Aran smiled, there was something cold under it, a steel that hadn't been present before. "If you believe that man will give you an honest answer about anything then perhaps you are a fool after all."
"I don't believe him any more than I believe you," Sarpedon said, irritably. "But if what he says matches what you say you said then I'd better suppose that's what the conversation is about. But really I suppose it comes down to whether he thinks he's got a better chance of getting back to his fancy life by throwing his lot in with me or with you. And right now I think he's backing me."
“You may be right,” Aran said, watching Cade for a moment, suspicion in his dark eyes. “But I still would not trust him.”
“Then it's as well I don't any one much then, isn't it?” Sarpedon said, not wanting to get drawn on what he thought about Cade, and what he might or might not be.
