So the weekend
Dec. 11th, 2006 09:36 pmSo what did you do this weekend - on saturday I stripped down my cars air inlet assembly, shopped for high-healled shoes that I can actually manage to walk in and deciced that the staff at a well known highstreet chain of car parts supplier are actually morons - the person that served me was younger than the car I was buying parts for - it was odd - or maybe i'm just getting old.
Sunday I spent the morning getting ever more annoyed at stupid circiut diagrams - even T who is on an enigineering course thought that they were badly drawn - the written instructions were even worse I mean honestly does this make sense to anybody
'If your engine is "Pinking" (WTF is Pinking? it doesn't say)
Does the ignition timing retard by 6 degrees when the cylinder head is tapped gently with a bronze drift near the pinking detector'
All I can hope is that my car isn't pinking with out me knowing it as it seems to be bad for it although it doesn't say why.
The evening was spent as per usual down at the uni's RGP soc. Felt kinda sorry for the GM when I worked out the coded message thing in the game in about an hour or so - but it was only a subsitution code - I hope he hadn't put too much work into it.
Didn't get anything done fic or fanfic wise over the weekend - said life might get in way and it did, but it did it in a good way.
Off to definately do some writing now before something else distracts me - like the horrible circuit diagram which is still staring at me from the coffee table - I've a good mind to redraw the thing in a way that makes some level of sense and send it back to the printers to show them how one should look - not going to redraw now though must write.
