Many fic related things.

silver_sunFor the first time in years I have no fics waiting for me to update. Everything that's posted is complete - although there are a couple that might get sequels written.
So what next? More fic :D what else.
Current project? writing a fic for one of the![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
torchwood_fest prompts. It's just over half written and I know what I want to write for the rest and am intending to have it done by the end of the week or sooner if I can.
The prompt was: Ianto is secretly rescued by Ten after he dies in Thames House, and taken onto the TARDIS. Work with what was televised of the rest of Day 4 and 5, no AU from what was seen on TV. Ianto is returned to Jack after he leaves Earth 6 months later.
Fic is about 5000 words and is in three parts. Close third person, past tense. The first section is from the Doctor's (10th) POV, the second from Jack's and the third is from Ianto's.
Probably best described as angst with a hopeful ending.
Next big project? A complete re-write of Children of Earth. Basically keeping its tone more like s1 and 2, making UNIT less useless, giving Johnson a reason for doing what she did, more Rupesh, more Andy, Clem's strangeness making at least some sense, the re-appearance of Tarot Card Girl, more about why Jack did what he did in the 60's. more Jack/Ianto. Plus end that they can actually rebuild from which will actually tie into the whole 21st century is where it all changes tag line of S1 and 2.
When am I intending to post this? I'm aiming for early July. Basically four years on from when CoE aired.
And then? I still need to finish the virtual series 4 sequel(s) to Secrets and Hope. I'm planning to write as much as I can of it during Campnanowrimo in July, as VS4 is going to be about 100k (yes really)
I've got about a dozen short <5000 word fics that I should finish too.

And I doubt anybody else is going down the the route of having the odd tarot card girl from series 2 playing a major part in it.

Date: 2013-04-17 05:20 pm (UTC)Would it be alive Owen or undead Owen? I can imagine undead Owen looking at the alien in the tank and telling he doesn't breathe so its gas thing is useless.
I can see Tosh getting pretty angry with how UNIT are handling things given her own past with them.

Date: 2013-04-18 04:30 pm (UTC)What I've come up with is; The glove worked how the first one did, it only appeared not to because of the 'death' creature inhabiting it.
When Owen killed 'death' the effect of the glove went back to how it should have been - it had siphoned energy off Jack to heal Owen.
As they've destroyed the glove the process is incomplete, so Owen is only partially healed. So perhaps as soon as 'death' is dead he starts to breath again and perhaps where he was shot starts to bleed again. At least the fight with Death was in the hospital, so he can get some rapid treatment.
Or maybe Owen is still undead Owen until the next time that Jack dies and comes back. So Jack dies, Owen falls over too, then they both wake up at the same time. Maybe Owen is fully healed maybe not.
Feel free to take, use or alter this idea if you want, I've got so many other fics to write I haven't got time to use this one.
