Spooks: code 9 how can you leave it there? How can you leave the show with a cliffhanger like that when I don't even know if there is going to be another series. Why? Just why?

Also Charlie/Rob :D It's not canon but it so should be.  Rob's "Charlie briefed me" to Rachel was so much win.

Ahhh, you'd be a non-Spooks watcher, then. Welcome to the pain! Yes, they do enjoy making you wait an entire year for the resolution to a horrible cliffhanger...

You get used to it. Not much comfort now, I know, but by the end of series 3 (presuming we get there!), you'll just be there going 'ho hum, everyone might be dead' ;)

Is there definitely going to be a second series then? I haven't seen anything so far, and the ratings did do something of a nosedive after the first couple of episodes. Checked out BARB, and after episode three it wasn't even in the top ten shows for BBC3.

I hope there will be another series though. One of the other shows that I watch left it with a cliff hanger as well - theirs was 'here's an explosion, now we'll leave you guessing which character was involved in it for the next few months'

I had presumed so, mainly because Spooks is one of the BBC flagship shows and the creators/writers/production company have influence (let's put it this way, they still haven't cancelled Hustle, and the last series was abysmal).

I didn't know the ratings were that bad, however. Oh dear. I hope they get another one, because there were some good ideas fighting to get out through the demographic requirements... they need some time to stretch out - normal Spooks started with 6 episodes in the first series and every series since then has been 10.

Sorry to take so long replying.

The show that had the 'here's an explosion, now we'll leave you guessing which character was involved in it for the next few months' is Criminal Minds (series 3 finale).

I'm still hoping that Spooks: code 9 will get recommissioned, the fact that Karen Wilson (code 9's producer) said in her interview with digitalspy about some of the cast for it being on contact for another series is promising - although she does say that she hasn't heard from the BBC yet as to whether the show will be recommissioned. Hopefully something will appear on the BBC or on digitalspy (they do see to get news and previews of a lot of stuff) in the next couple of weeks.
