Getting a car!!

silver_sunI'm getting a 'new' car it may be 21 years old Renault 5 and a bit rusty and dented but it's mine or will be as soon as I go pick it up. All praise the bargin bin that is Ebay.
I've been so lost without a car this last month since the last one had to be scrapped. I know I don't need it or use it to commute but it's freedom, it's that ability to be able to get in and go when you want and where you want.
I don't think I'm going to stop smiling for a week. This is the best thing thats happened for me in ages. So hopefully lifes on the up again, house, car, husband in employment, family and inlaws doing well - fingers crossed, touch wood, hundred and one other stupid superstitious things.
Better safe than sorry I say as just about every time things seem to be going right something comes alone and kick you in the metaphorical teeth.
But right now I'm far too pleased with the prospect of being mobile again that I really don't care.
Off now to put the finishing touchs to my very first completed piece of Torchwood fan fiction which I will be posting here asap.
I will say sorry in advance for the unbeta'd angstiness of it, but I don't seem to be able to write happy fluffy fic - and I have tried - and I really wont inflict the results of that on the reading public.
