Normally being hot, sweaty and naked in bed is something Jack finds fun. Right now though it’s not fun at all.
“You can be an such idiot,” Ianto says softly, laying a damp cloth on Jack’s burning forehead.
Opening fever bright eyes Jack says hoarsely, “I do it with style though.”
“Getting skewered by a poisonous alien porcupine is never stylish.”
“No?”
“No, it’s not.” Ianto sighs, exhausted. “Why do you always do this?”
Unwilling to answer, Jack feigns sleep.
“You don’t have to save me,” Ianto says quietly.
Yes I do, Jack thinks. I’m not ready to lose you.
