silver_sunOkay I've got far to many fics that I need to complete first but here's my latest plot bunny. It's post CoE and is a sort of fix it fic, although not exactly as it still recognises all the events of CoE, and would be my first attempt at writing from Gwen's pov.
My brother is sort of to blame for the basis of this idea (although he doesn't know I write fic, he's probably as big a fan of the show as me, and still flatly refuses to believe that the end of second two was it for Owen) Any way basically he wondered why the explosion in the Hub didn't rip open the Rift. Now with the Rift open and the fact that parallel worlds are canon for the DW universe I came up with this idea.
Convergence - In an infinite number of worlds there are an infinite number of outcomes.
The damage that the explosion in the Hub had done to the Rift hadn't been immediately obvious. Life had been too chaotic and fragmented, the long days after fighting for survival occupied with grief and a need to rebuild.
The realisation she's no longer in the same Cardiff where she grew up occurs to Gwen slowly over the fololowing months. It's small things like a café that she was sure was there isn't, her cousin Davy insisting that he's never smoked, it's Rhys' mother taking painting courses, or a favourite pop song that seems to have never been written.
Nothing on its own is big enough to say that anything is out of place, but put together the sense of wrongness is too hard to ignore. The question is if this isn't her Cardiff, a Cardiff with no Jack, no Ianto and no Hub, then where is her Cardiff and how is she going to get back there.
So do people thing this bunny might be worth going somewhere with?

I would love to see something come of this, personally. I love your fic like Myfanwy loves chocolate (and Ianto)!
