Okay, some of you may know that I'm the mod over at Divergent Worlds - a Children of Earth AU community. I'm thinking of running a fic challenge over there and I'm trying to gauge whether there is any interest for it.
Would anybody be interested in taking part in a fic challenge over at
divergentworlds , a Children of Earth AU themed community?
If the answer is yes what format would people like it to take?
Off the top of my head the formats that I can think of are:
* People sign up to say they'll write something - like people do for big bang challenges.
* A general prompt or prompt that everybody uses - like
jantolution uses.
* People supply prompts or fic concepts that they want written and then other people sign up for them - like
rounds_of_kink
If people can think of different formats, especially if they are ones that they prefer, please tell me and I'll add them to my list.
If people are interested in a fic challenge, based on the comments I get to this post, I'll put up a poll to decide the most popular format and things like minimum word count and how long the challenge should run for.
The poll will go up on Friday at
divergentworlds

Date: 2009-11-17 04:01 pm (UTC)One thing I would say is to put a reasonable length date on it, i.e. after Christmas as a lot of people get busy towards the end of the year, I know I do!

Date: 2009-11-17 05:14 pm (UTC)I think maybe three prompts, and then people can use as many or as few of them as they like. I'll probably put up a post so people can suggest some things for prompts at the weekend.
Posting for fic would be any between the start and finish date of the challenge. To give people time with Christmas coming up I'd probably have the challenge finishing mid January or maybe the end of January if people prefer that.
